I think it is interesting that the definition the new pulp crowd has given to their work is so limiting when what had been published as pulp back in the day was so broad (no consistent style or tone at all). Before it was “popular entertainment published regularly and aimed at a mass audience.” Now the pulp “inheritors” have limited the definition down to a tiny, almost non-existent market.
